Pixelpal Privacy & Data Policy

Pixelpal connects people from across the world to encourage a more meaningful exchange of ideas. We believe
that communication based on mutual respect is the best way to create understanding between people.
In order to achieve this mission we built an app called Pixelpal. To create a meaningful relationship with
you, our user, we need to be upfront about what we do with your data.
So, here it goes.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and share your information across our websites, SMS,
APIs, email notifications, applications and vetted outside partners.

- We reserve the right to update this document when we believe that it is necessary.

By continuing to access or use the services after those changes are made public and have become
effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy tries to explain in simple terms our commitment to your privacy. As you read this
document you will often find mentions of “we”, “our” or “us”, which refer to the controller of your
information under this policy. Pixelpal and all services covered by this Privacy Policy are operated by
Bravepixel LLC, 6 Baba Nedelia Street, 1463, Sofia, Bulgaria. Therefore, Bravepixel LLC is deemed the
controller. Although, Bravepixel is responsible for the proper handling and care of your personal
information you are ultimately responsible for the content you share online. Our services and Bravepixel LLC
cannot be held liable for personally identifiable information that has been shared publicly online, either
via direct message or posted on our Services or on other platforms, websites, applications or services
operated by Bravepixel LLC.
By using our Services you authorize us to transfer, store and use your information in the countries where we
operate. Please be aware that data protection laws vary in some countries where the legal framework allows
government authorities and institutions to compel us to submit your data to them.
Basic account information

When you register a Pixelpal account, you must provide us with your personal information, such as your
name, username, age, gender, password, e-mail address and phone number. Your e-mail, real name or phone
number will never be made public. Please do not share it online. However, your username will always be
listed publicly within the Pixelpal app. We encourage the use of a username that does not reveal any
personally identifiable information.
Other information we collect

As part of the registration process we also require you to list at least three interests. These help our
algorithm better optimize your experience with the platform. You may also write a short biography but
this is not required.

We may ask for some Facebook permissions allowing the services covered by this Privacy Policy to perform
actions with your Facebook account and to retrieve information, including personal data, from it. This
service allows us to connect with your account on Facebook.com.

When you connect your Facebook account with our services the data that you share with us is as follows:
Facebook id, name, interests, contact e-mail(s), likes, picture, gender, and location. Additionally,
data related to your connections may also become available to us including your friend list. We will
also know your birthday!
Sharing your information publicly on the platform

Pixelpal is designed to foster one-on-one conversations and we encourage you to reach out to new people.
However, when you engage with a user on the platform you bear the ultimate responsibility about the
content that you exchange with that individual or with any individual on the platform.
Public and private conversations

Pixelpal has both private and public communication features. The “feed” is where all information is
posted publicly. We refer to content posted on the “feed” as a “status update” or, alternatively, a
“thought”. This content is visible to all users.
- The app encourages private conversations through a direct message function.
Location data

We use data from your device, GPS data, information from wireless networks or cell towers and your IP
address to determine your location. We will never share this information publicly or directly with any
of our current or future partners. However, we reserve the right to use location data to improve your
user experience and the relevancy of the content that you see (both paid and organic).

Pixelpal and all services covered by this Privacy Policy reserves the right to track how you interact
with links shared publicly or privately on our platforms and services.
Cookies

We use cookies and other similar technologies to collect website usage data. This data is used to
improve your user experience across our services and platforms. A cookie is a data file that is stored
on your device and can last only for the duration of your session or be permanent. If you have changed
your browser settings to reject cookies, some of our services may not work properly.
Tracking your interactions

When you interact with content or with the features of our services this information is stored in our
database. This is referred to as “log data” and it can include your IP address, browser type, operating
system, pages visited, location, your Internet Service Provider, your mobile carrier, your device ID and
your application ID.

We also reserve the right to store other unique identifiers (universally unique identifier) on your
devices for analytics purposes.
Advertising

We are very conscious of how ads impact your experience with our platform and services. Our aim is to
make sure that advertising content does not impede your enjoyment of Pixelpal and our services.

To serve you relevant ads we may use your demographic data such as age, gender, location and language.
Personalization

The devices that you use to access Pixelpal and/or our other services that are covered by this Privacy
Policy will be associated with your account. This gives us the chance to customize your user experience
based on that data. We may send push notifications to your device(s).
Disclosure

Based on the legal framework and laws of the countries where we operate, we may disclose your personally
identifiable data in order to be compliant with local laws, regulations, government requests, legal
outcomes and judgements. We may also disclose your personal information if we reasonably believe that
such an action with protect the safety of any person or help prevent a crime.
Publicly available content

We may share the content that you post publicly. We will not share personally identifiable data but what
you choose to make public is your responsibility.
Data retention

For all active accounts we retain data indefinitely. If you wish to terminate your account you are free
to do so. Personal data related to terminated accounts is retained for no more than 90 days after the
last login session. You may request that your data is deleted sooner by submitting a request to
compliance@getpixelpal.com. After deletion, we retain
some information in a depersonalized or aggregated form but not in a way that would identify you
personally.
